“The one”

By Vageesha Mishra

“How do I know he’s the one? It’s all so confusing. As my closest friend you should help me Adam!” Eliza asked utterly distressed.

“Does he acknowledge your value?” Adam shot back.
“Value? How do you mean?”
“Does he know that you could have anyone you wanted but you still chose him? That you’ll not be the kind that throws around his/her heart waiting for anyone to catch and repeat the act once bored? That your loyalty will be unfailing? That your heart will forever be his? That when you say you love him, you actually love him?”

In that brief moment, Eliza had several realisations, her lover was not the “one” was just one of them!

      1. Hahahaha! Jolene your sense of humour is unbeatable๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Love sure completes us but it also takes away a lot of things from you. But I know what you mean, the idea is sure tantalising as well as dream like.
Hope you find the good one soon and travel togetherโค๐Ÿ˜„ good day dear Jolene.

Indeed real love lies somewhere in care for each other, understanding between two although nobody is perfect but love complete us.

    1. Hahahaha! No! Her soul mate was right in front of her giving doses about the wrong one but like every clueless human being, Eliza will take a while to figure that out๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. Never mind! Watch classic romance films like Pride and Prejudice (nope, that’s definitely not how love works in 21st century because human beings have evolved into meaner souls over time but then you’d get an idea!)

  2. A beautiful truth expressed so well my friend. In this world where the power of money, fame and competition has taken precedence over the simplicity of love and where finding true love and ‘the one’ is a rare event, I must confess that once you have found ‘the one’ who respects you for all you, will be loyal to you, will value you and make you feel like you are the last woman on the planet, the feeling is wonderful and even for a moment you cannot take him for granted.
My wishes that even as you reach great heights in the career front, I hope you find ‘the one’ who can make you smile and who can warm your heart with his love and respect.
Sounds a bit senti, but it is one aspect of life that will complete you.
    Happy Sunday, my dear.

    1. Oh! I can’t tell you what an assurance your comment has set in my mind! I know totally what you mean by the power of money, fame and competition and if I might add some people are also superficial about how a person looks. So yeah I think in a world like that true love should be restricted to your immediate family and close friends only (that’s the only gurantee of it not being misused.)
Of course otherwise if you actually end up finding someone worth all the pain (I’m so and so glad and happy for you that it is that way for you. You’ve left me so inspired with your comment that I’m smiling goofily like a teen! Thank you so much my dear friend for your kind wishes for me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š)
No, that doesn’t sound senti, that’s beautiful and they are only a few people who dare to speak so amazingly about love. Thank you for being so. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜„
