Let it be

By Vageesha Mishra

“What do you seek my child?” asked the ocean.

“Answers,” she replied.

“Then why have you come here?”

“They say you hold so many secrets and sit on a bed of wisdom.”

“Oh, but how can I child? I’m just an ocean.”

“No you’re not. You are so much more.”

“How can you say so?”

“I can feel it.”

“Can you feel your answers?”

“No, I can’t, after all I’m just a helpless human.”

“No, you’re not. You are so much more dear human. For if you can feel my powers, then you certainly can feel yours.”
“And what are they?”

“You have a life that means so much to so many. You have a life that takes you places. You have a life that holds mystery and you know everyday isn’t going to be the same. You have a life that lets you choose sometimes. You have a life that would let you find answers if you let it be.”

“Let it be?”

“Yes, child. Isn’t that what you came here for? Those three words hold so much power than you can comprehend. What do you do when I threaten to knock you down with my playful waves?”

“I stay still and let it pass.”

“There, you have it sorted now.”

Hello everyone. How’s it going? πŸ˜„ just some Thursday motivation for me and for those of you who need it too!

I know, I know! I’ve come here after eternity it feels but the amount of love I got from so many of you through out my absence here has warmed my heart so much that words fail to express my gratitude. Thank you, just thank you so much. I am deeply moved.

That’s it for now. Hope to keep you entertained!

  1. It’s beautiful sha..just like the ocean.yes it’s so much more than what we see. And the comparison of sea to life is brilliant. Both has mystery and questions unanswered. Both has so much beauty in itself. Loved the ending too, stay still and let it pass. This is one of your best posts and I’m glad you’re back.

    1. Where you said this is one of my best, honestly made me very, very happy!❀ It’s a little tricky post to understand going from one aspect to another with the final meaning of the main concern related to the ending!
But I’m not surprised, you’d have gotten it immediately with that deep and sensitive heart of yours!
Thank you for everything dear Jeni, it kept me motivated and finally helped me back here!πŸ˜ƒ I’m glad to be back too β€πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

  2. I like the message you are sending here. It’s important to “see through” things and not become caught up in a vicious downward spiral. Having said this, we also need to be mindful to seize opportunities when they present themselves. If a wave comes perhaps we should ride it. πŸ™‚
Where is the picture taken by the way?

    1. Hey Jolene😊
I know what you mean but I’m sorry I was trying to put across some other point which is similar to yours but a little different.
You see the ocean is basically speaking to a person who had exhausted all possible means to ride through the waves and was left hopeless and with too many questions.
The ocean was trying to give that person a dose of wisdom as to how this life is beautiful and they are lucky to have it but that still doesn’t work for her, so it tries to explain her something else!
The waves, the ocean is talking about here are the ones where one is ill equipped to ride or perhaps can’t ride and fighting it only leaves one with questions. To survive it as well as to find answers, the ocean advices to just “let it pass and let it be” for the current time.
Anyway, this is Candolim beach in Goa. So beautiful but not placid, the waves were high and wild, just amazing β€πŸ˜„β€πŸ™Œ

      1. Totally understand, I just love being a devil’s advocate. 😜 I hope that person wasn’t about to jump…
Goa, sounds like an awesome place! I’d like to visit India one day. πŸ™‚

      2. Hahahaha devil’s advocate! No, not about to jump, Jolene, lol!πŸ˜‚ Protagonist needed some time to clear her head and find answers from within. You know the deal Jolene, you are an amazing thinker and writer yourselfπŸ™ŒπŸ˜πŸ˜„β€
Also, yessss! Goa is awesome. I so want to go back. Didn’t even feel like coming back! You’d definitely love the place. I wish you come here too, so much to see and take home.

  3. What a come back, TW! A lot of wisdom in there. Life does throw some unexpected, some very harsh and some bizarre situations at you testing you will, you strength and all the powers you never knew you possessed. So glad to see you back that too with so much motivation wrapped in a creative thought. We all have it inside us, don’t we, but we realize it only when the going gets tough.
Thank you for the wonderful reminder and TW, you more than deserve the warmth you have received from all the friends who have been looking forward to you coming back.
Have a super day my dear. Lots of love and prayers coming your way.

It’s admirable how amazingly you understood what I was saying here and gave an even deeper insight❀ yes, you don’t know how much you can take when life slaps you, it makes you realise then of your strengths.
Hahaha! If I have friends like you here, I’m never leaving this place. Thank you so very much for keeping me motivated. I’m so grateful. Looking forward to your amazing write ups! Thank you for your love and prayers. Sending some love to you and your adorable family tooβ€πŸ˜„

      1. Dearest TW, what a pleasure to see you break into a smile (i can see you smiling through those words. Really) (I wish I could add emojis too, my system does not support it as of now )
You must never leave, TW. No giving up here. Take your time but come back. If it is writing you love, then writing you must do. However small, whatever you choose to. It is up to us friends to read them.
Writing has always helped me, in every stage of my life, to cope. I am not much of a speaker but may be I am those who can express my words better in words.
Thank you so much for all the love for me and my family. Take care, TW ( don’t know your real name still)

      2. Hellp dear friend, hope you’re well😊☺ I am Vageesha! May I know your name too?
Umm, I agree about writing and doing things that keep that light burning in our heart. But sometimes for some reasons it’s hard to be a part of them. Motivation from people who care about you definitely works in ways that can’t be easily put into words. So once again thank you! Have a wonderful day friendπŸ™ŒπŸ˜„ life without emojis is difficult, how are you doing?πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜„

      3. Hey Vageesha, I am Pranitha. What lovely name.
I understand that sometimes it is much more than writer’s block that keeps you from writing. Like all humans, I have my share of issues but nothing like yours.
But I love to read your work. But slow and steady , do it at you own pace. You want some encouragement, some thing to laugh about, a little motivation from someone as boring as me, just let me know… I will be gladly willing to do it. Do you know there is an emoji movie coming up. Not sure I can risk another 2 hours in an empty theater so I will watch it at home. πŸ˜πŸ˜€πŸ’•possible on the phone though..
Take care Vageesha and good day😍

Movie on emoji, hmm had no idea, but looks like you’re back with them! Hahahaha yeah sure you can turn it whenever you wantπŸ˜‚πŸ™Œ Take care you too! Awesome dayπŸ˜„πŸ˜

      5. Thank you, Vageesha. I am still reeling from the Spidey movie and not in a particular mood to ruin another afternoon checking social media after a dark exploration of the theater, so Emoji can ‘show’ off but I am out of it.

  4. This is so beautiful.
Letting go is actually the natural behaviour of humans I believe, some people just never realise it.
Another feel good post from you V.
    Please write a bit more.
    Your readers are craving

Letting go is one of the hardest things to do in life but sometimes it’d just scarily consume you if you don’t do it.😳
